2007 C2S CD player issues?

Just curious if this is a known issue: The CD player in my 07 C2S, which I've had for a little more than a year, doesn't seem to stop playback (or forward progression, so to speak) when the player or car is turned off. In other words, if I turn off the car (or the player while driving), the CD player doesn't then pick up where the track left off when I restart--it picks up further along. It does this to greater or lesser degrees unpredictably; sometimes it's a little later in the same track, sometimes it's several tracks advanced. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I turn off the player before turning off the car. Anyone else have this problem? If so, is it a matter of a firmware/software upgrade to fix?

Sorry if this has been covered in a previous thread, but a couple searches didn't find it.

Thanks,
Brad

I have the same problem. I asked the same question about a year ago and got no reply. Here's to hoping we have better luck this time.

I got C4S and my would play one song for 15-20 sec and than it would stop. When forward to next song it would not play at all. Probably old.

It's usually a PCM issue, they seem to have a ton of issues. It's like they have their own personalities. Each one has a different problem. Some randomly lose preset stations, some won't recognize the CD changer, some randomly won't turn on, some won't recognize the controls, etc. They regularly update them, but they still have problems. I would make sure you have most up to date software.

Thanks--I'll check and see about software upgrades.
