This evening I installed aftermarket short shifter, and after I put everything together my airbag light was on. Any thoughts?

 

yep, you prob had the key in the ignition (or started car) while console was still removed/unplugged. in any case, find someone with a durametric pro to reset it or you'll have to go to the stealership and probably pay an arm and a leg for what is literally a 30 second job.
