new to site considering a new 2012 model 997 C2S Cab

New to the site.. Looking for some advice. I have been looking for a 911 C2S Cab. I have been checking out 2009 and 2010 as i figured I would get the best bang for the dollar. All the cars I have looked at for those years have been in the 75-90K range depending on mileage and options.

I was just offerred the follwing deal from a local dealer here in NY metro that is trying to move a car. would love to hear what anyone thinks of the deal

2012 911 C2S Cabriolet Model 997 it is a nicely loaded PDK model with a sticker price of 119K. I got the dealer down to 101K on the car. again this is a brand new car 4 Miles on it and never titled. Seems like a farily reasonable deal compared to the used cars I have been looking at.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The best deal is the one you're comfortable with; there are always going to be people who get better deals or claim higher discounts negotiated. A 15% discount, on the surface, seems rather good. Just to be sure, ask the dealer if the car has been punched (warranty clock has been running as dealer reported car as previously sold - sometimes they do that). Sorry I can't be more helpful but I'm sure that there are many others who know more. The one thing I do recall reading is that used inventory is rather tight so it really may be a better bargain, if you have the means, to buy new. Hope all works out for you!

thanks TCC for the feedback. and yes I am aware of the waranty punch issue and this car was punched and 4 months have come off the warranty. I believe they classified it as a demo as the person I am dealing with said that is the only way they are able to sell the car at such a discount without retribution from Porsche. I have a deposit on it and I am comfortable with the deal. Appreciate the feedback..

Biggest decison for me was if I should go with the 991 model. But for the close to 20K more for comparably equipped it would of cost I just could not rationalize it..

Very good friend of mine got a 2012 C4S Cab at 17% discount in January of this year. Pretty good discount for a new car - almost as good as the prior 2009 deals when the dealers had too much inventory and the economy was really in the dumps. I think that's a pretty good deal - and currently I think that the "catch" about the good price is that the 991 is out there, and dealers want to get rid of all their 997's. No matter, 997 is an awesome car - I'm not trading mine!

Good luck!
