I purchased an 06 Boxster S in June as a weekend toy and have experienced 911 envy ever since. I really wanted a 997 all along but was unsure it would get any use so didn't want to commit that much $$. I immediately made a secret (from my girlfriend) deal with myself that I could get a 911 as soon as the small lien on the Box is paid off.
Started innocently looking around for the "perfect" 911...
Then this shows up and decided I could have just paid cash for the Box is the first place so what is the hold up!
2009 997.2 S Cab
Black/black/black
6sp
9800 miles
Sport chrono
Heat/vent power seats
Nav
Bluetooth
Bose, Sirius
Self dimming mirrors
Dynamic lights etc...
Sticker new was just shy of $110k.
Price: $67,100.
Is it worth it? Is this a deal i cant possibly pass up? I'm a little apprehensive MOSTLY because I just went through this 4 months ago for what is pretty much a Boxster replica. And that car is fantastic... BUT this is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Thoughts?
Btw - the Boxster is up for sale now on autotrader & Planet 9 classifieds in case anyone wants to help make my decision. I'm willing to take a slight loss (couple thousand) when taxes are factored in...

Unfortunately it is not CPO but it does have 1 year left of warranty. I believe it was a lease turn in that ended up at Carmax.

Yep...I didn't get CPO on mine and I haven't had any issues since purchase in Jan of 20011. I thought about an aftermarket warranty, which was offered but I didn't spend the money. The car has been rock solid and no issues except for normal maintenece, and new brakes for the front. I had an Indy do the brakes with OEM parts and saved a bundle i'm sure.
The dealer in my area is quite expensive. Jump on that deal though. I wish I had the DFI engine!

Sounds like a fair price for a cab. You might want to check out it's service/maintenance records at Porsche but if its got a year left on warranty you're pretty much covered.
Black on Black is stunning but requires a lot of attention. I know being the owner of a 'Black/Black' 2005. Just remember if you buy this car . . . . "Black isn't a color, it's a hobby".
Good Luck!

I believe it has PASM. The carfax is clean. It will be in Florida in two weeks (having it shipped from California). I will be able to take a look at it, have PPI done then decide.
Here are a few pics:

I love having black cars. Currently have 3. Taking care of them is part of my personal hobby/thrill!
