997 - Bose and Non Bose speaker - Same connector ?
Hi guys,
My Porsche 997 Carrera S (2005) has two front door speakers which are blown.
its a NON Bose sound system.
I'm not a big music buff but the blown speakers are too much annoying , so I'm looking for replacement speakers.
1. I found a place to purchase the Bose front Loud Speaker but I'm not sure it will fit?
- Does the Bose and Non Bose speaker have the same connector ?
- Does anybody have experience with the sound quality of such installation ?
2. Any other recommended replacement speakers? I would like to keep the original look and connectors.
Thanks!

you can use any speaker that will fit the hole, try to get a reasonable quality speaker. ALL speakers have the same configuration, 2 terminals, one is positive, one is negative. In your application, you will never tell any difference if you switch them wrong, you could remove the connector and wire it directly to the terminals. But I suspect all the porsche connectors are the same on all cars.
