"Passenger Airbag Off" indicator replacement?
"Passenger Airbag Off" indicator replacement?
While cleaning the heck out of my rear center console ( for unsavory reasons involving a mouse) on my 2009 C2S i noticed that my "Passenger airbag off" indicator behind the shift boot was really crispy and the text was bubbling from the top. I took a look at the connector under the console and the plastic was partly broken off and completely brittle. I tried pushing it lightly and it crumbled more in my fingers.
Is this normal over time? Is this replaceable under warranty? If not does anyone have the part number for it, i cant find the part in the online parts diagrams.

No its not normal regardless of the time and cost to replace. You need to have it checked out. Why did it overheat? Better to do it now than risk frying the harness and who knows what else will go with it.
I've also replaced mine, which was broken. It basically just snaps in, and I didn't even reconnect it, since I have no use for the light. The cost is about $15 to $20 as rossiterb mentioned.
