Just curious - performance mods vs diet

I've read that for every pound of unsprung rotational weight, the advantage is 1:6 to 1:7. Some C2S are equipped with PCCBs which saves approximately 30lbs compared to irons. If the ratio has some truth, weight saving would be close to 200 lbs? I would imagine the difference in handling is a far greater benefit? Any racers out there that can comment?

It depends on what you're looking for in the long run. If this is your driver then you'll likely not strip out the weight hogging items like seats, door panels, carpet..... Performance mods - overrated unless you're going to supercharge it or similar. My .02 is to drive what you have and enjoy it - unless you're dedicating it for the track then the sky's the limit.
