nope, that's a tiny hose that plugs to the bottom of the 3.8 airbox, not the intake vacuum main hose.... you should cap it

No.
The vacuum hose just opens and closes the flap on the resonator which won't mater once you bypass it.
Easy install, looks cool and sounds great.
Oh and did not affect my CPO warranty!

They're claim is about 10 HP more. Difficult to really tell unless you dyno the car but 10 HP can;t hurt either.
355 HP on a stock 997.1s so 10 more is only a a minimal gain of 3%.
I do "feel" a slight difference in throttle response though. Not a dramatic as pressing that wonderful little "sport" button.
The part was the sound. Bypassing the Helmholtz resonator is noticeable.
Growls a little more at low rpms. Love it.
