Porsche Drawings
That's what I was hoping the hear!
I majored in Architectural Drafting in school but was always more interested in the artistic design of the different aspects of the plans.
I can watch Chip Foose draw cars all day! Amazing talent.

So where did your artistic design take you? Drawing is kind of like my hobby, but honestly I don't know if i want to take it as a career. So it would be interesting to know where people like me have gone into careers. If I wanted to take up a "normal" job it would probably somewhere in the medical field, but I'd be more interested in being self-employed and moving in my own artistic direction.
But yeah, if you have any cool photos I would love to see them and draw one. Just send them to my email aminflyer@yahoo.com. Pretty much everything I do in my free time is related to cars, Flickr, Youtube, Forums, Drawing, Researching, Xbox
I didn't get a degree in Arch Drafting (or anything else). It was the late 60s and my girlfriend convinced me that we should hit the road in my VW bus and follow the Grateful Dead from town to town. After the "fog" cleared, I got into retail, managing a company called Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories. I had always been a model car builder since I was a kid and after leaving BHMA, I turned my hobby into a small business building Porsche scale models for people like Seinfeld, James Spader and others. The artistic itch was scratched doing garage dioramas where you are only limited by your imagination. After a few years, I was offered a job with Home Depot as a graphic artist doing hand made signs for several stores.
Here's a garage I did a couple years ago.....
Long strange trip!

. If I only saw the model garage I'd swear it was real!
Thanks for the kind comment. I have to say I do envy those model garages from robsled.
Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories on Robertson Blvd just south of Wilshire Blvd? I used to frequent that store many moons ago. They started up after Vilem Hahn on Santa Monica Blvd closed down. Wow . . . . That sort of dates me.

As a teenager I hung out at Vilem's store. And then later to become the manager of BHMA was literally like the kid in the candy store. Our customer parking lot was a daily car show as the customers were TV and movie actors, professional athletes and rock musicians as well as the most important customers....just regular customers! The mid to late 80s were intense, as we averaged 1.7 mil a month in sales. We were the first to sell RUF and AMG before AMG merged with Mercedes.
It was a magical place and time!
I forgot about M.G. Mitten in Pasadena.
I remember buying a beautiful Nardi wheel from Vilem Hahn for just over 100 bucks back in 1979 when I was restoring a 356. That wheel today is virtually priceless.
I probably bought lots of stuff from you at the Robertson store. Pre-internet days were a lot more fun.

Oh yeah, MG Mitten! I got my Mom to drive me up to Mitten so I could buy a pair of driving gloves....before I had my first car.
I've got an old catalog from Vilem....Heuer Rally Dash Stopwatches, starting at $39.95!!!!! They go for 3-4 thousand now.
I've also got a copy of each one of BHMAs catalogs. Printed close to 100,000 of them every 4 months. We had some great items also over the years. Some were absolutely ridiculous like the Gold license plate frame that came with a wired alarm. They were ridiculous until we sold them....20 grand each.
SORRY MAYLAYDUDE...didn't mean to hijack your thread.
Now post some more pics of your drawings!

Amazing drawing skill, keep up your good work!
A patient of mine is good in oil painting. This is his painting of my club coupe. I paid him a good sum of money for his time.

It's no problem Robsled, I'm actually quite interested too, sounds like it was a good time for you and many others. So what exactly is Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories, did it sell car parts and accessories, was it like a garage, or a car dealer?
