The new 911 Club Coupe
#2
I saw the 997 "S" club coupe up close @ the HERSHEY Porsche parade. Porsche ADDED +26HP by installing better headers and a better air intake /airbox system.
I hate to tell you I told you so..............BUT I have a 997S and Porsche DELIBERATELY CHOKED the 997 cars for several reasons.........and Porsche always leaves HORSEPOWER on the table.
#1st reason is SALES: always adding powermake CUSTOMERS trade in their cars for a new one each and every time power is increased. Porsche likes X51 kits and other stuff cause it is lucrative @ $12,000 to $15,000 extra
#2nd reason is POrsche differentiates the POWER LEVELS as needed to maintain sales momentum. The GT3 made more power than the 997"S" and after GT3 sales are over they upgrade the exhaust and intake on the 997"S" and now they have 381HP and an extra 16ftlb of torque over the GT3. NEXT when the 2006 GT3 rolls out they get it up to 400 to hopefully 420HP.
