I don't have it. Do you?
CPO warranty for my 2006 C2 expired back in March this year. Currently, my car has 48k miles on it and has been trouble-free
for the past 4 1/2 years. It had 40K service performed early this year at the dealership where I bought my car from.
It's kind of scary to read about some of the major engine issues that some of us have been experiencing. I think I want to
keep my car for maybe another year or two until I can afford a GTS.
Would it be a good idea to buy one of those warranties against possible breakdown or is it better to pay for the repairs
out of my pocket? I am curious to know what percentage of you guys bought aftermarket extended warrenty after
the manufacturer's warranty expired. And if you do recommend purchasing a warranty, which ones should I look into?

This guy's engine just potentially got f&^#'ed. He has aftermarket insurance. Lucky for him.

You'll get a lot of people who are for it and a lot of people who don't have it.
I have it. Peace of mind. Shop around, prices vary vastly. I got the the best offer from a Porsche dealership.

Unless you are wealthy I suggest any expensive car, whether a Porsche, BMW, etc that you have a warranty. We all know **** happens and when it does its real expensive to repair. True story - 06' BMW 525 had 50075 mi on it, warranty ran out at 50K, the main computer died, $3500 repair. A 2nd party extended warranty cost 3k for 4 yrs, no brainer! Lucky for me the dealer covered it - then I spent 3k and never looked back.
When my CPO runs out in 14' I will either sell or get an extended warranty - I personally will not own a car of this value without one.
