Looking to purchase a 997.1 C2/S "issues"?

Hi im in the market for another 997.1 C2/S 6 speed but possibly tip. I previously had a 05 C2S which I purchased new back in 2005 and kept for 2 years. However this time i'm looking to purchase a used one with some mileage on it so was wondering if theres any years to stay away from or if there are any common issues I might run into maintenance wise on the car as it will be out of warrenty. Thanks!

Things to search on:
IMS failure (very rare, but rumored 05s had more problems)
alternator cable - weak starting
coil packs cracking
AOS replacement
Water pump failure
Scored cylinders (also rare)

Aside from the IMS and cylinder scoring (both extremely rare) everything else is no real biggy. But search up and decide for yourself.

For maintenance you biggest cost is probably tires $1500-2000, fronts go 20k rears 10k but you probably knew that from before.

I think major maintenance is every 40k, miles so factor in ~$1000 for that if you go to an indy. It's mostly inspect, change plugs, sperpentine belt and an oil change.

I've put 30k miles on mine.

My cost:
Tires
Belt
Battery
Oil change

In addition to what was mentioned above, watch out for the TPMS. The units' batteries cannot be replaced. The units are sealed and they must be replaced.
