Could you send me the specs of what you have?

Thanks.
If you're in South Florida, just contact NAV-TV in Boca Raton. They have a module that integrates backup camera right into the Porsche PCM, so there's no need to change the radio. We have installed it a few times here, works great.

the problem with these product is their price ,

Yes, I agree that their product is expensive. But the beautiful thing about their products is that they integrate flawlessly into the factory PCM. When you get an add-on part from NAV-TV (whether it's the backup camera, or bluetooth, or ipod connection) the nice thing is that it functions exactly the way Porsche would do it, directly through the PCM.

My 2008 Honda Odyssey has a neat camera built into the rear view mirror. When you put the van in reverse, the TV lights up and you can see the image. When you go to drive the screen goes blank and it is one solid mirror again. There might be some aftermarket mirrors you can use for a display like this instead of mucking with the MOST bus based PCM.

Just a thought for other ideas.

Checking on the NAVTV site, I see no solutions for the 911 (997) line .. it only indicates the Cayenne for rear camera, and nothing for the forward looking FLIR.

They offer it. I just installed one recently.

Ahhhh I call MAJOR B-S on this one. We had their Bluetooth unit on the previous gen Cayenne and it was the biggest POS you could possibly imagine. When the weather was warm, it worked 50% of the time, AT BEST. When the weather dropped in the winter, it NEVER worked for months on end until the weather warmed up. I spend countless hours or rather days trying to get it to work better and keeping the software updated and nothing ever worked. It was a POS product and over my dead body would I ever buy or recommend anything from this company.

That's really strange, and honestly completely different from the experience I've had with their stuff. Was it the Tooki bluetooth unit you had installed? That's the one we use and it actually works really well.

I have nothing to gain by lying....I can honestly say we've had nothing but good experiences with NAV-TV, their products, and their support. Any time we've had a small issue, they've stepped up to the plate and done whatever they had to do to make it right.

Tom, to be clear, I make no comment on your business of your experience with them.

I had the Tooki unit on a 2008 Cayenne and it was horrible. The only support they ever gave me was to update the firmware which I did numerous times and nothing ever made it better. It would begin to work and then shortly after start having issues. I'm in NJ with much colder winters than FL and I swear the unit would not work at all between December and March. It's the weirdest thing, but after 5 winters, I am pretty sure that it just could not handle the cold weather for whatever reason.

With temperature related variations my first instinct is to suspect the assembly of the hardware module and wiring. Temp fluctuations can cause problems with bad solder joints are marginal connectors but should cause no issues for the integrated circuits and signals at all. A good check of the connectors/plugs or a hardware swap should be done to see if that fixes the problem.

So has anyone installed and used one of these Nav-TV systems:
http://navtv.com/product/278/rgb-pcm3.html

I'm curious how well they integrate and work from real user experience.

I have the tookie installed in my 997. Not a very good product. Maybe it's because the PCM is really a POS. The unit does not charge the iPod unless you get an adapter and doesn't charge when car is off, so since I don't use as DD, iPod is always dead. Randomly resets and starts the iPod at the beginning of the library and doesn't hold memory from last play. Scrolling to get to music sucks as well. Overall..next time, don't buy this for iPod integration....really sucks!! They should be ashamed to charge so much and get so little from it
