Anyone go from full exhaust and ecu tune to a supercharger?

Seems the difference in hp is about 50-60 bhp (i have the VF 475 kit). I'm only asking because I'm seriously considering removing my VF SC and just having an ecu tune and full exhaust.

The car will see a good amount of track days in 100+ degree heat and the SC voids my warranty should anything happen to the engine. Also having to deal with passing smog in CA is a serious pain in @ss.

Just thinking at this point losing the 50-60hp might be a worth while sacrifice. Would love some feedback from anyone who has made the transition. Thanks guys!

I would PM Cattman. He had the VF system and ending up having a catostrophic engine failure. Now has a new naturally aspirated engine and possibly looking to add the SC again.

I documented my install here on the forums as well and while the journey of the install was an amazing venture ( realizing that i could do the work myself) and the power was awesome but doing the install was the real payoff for me. The supercharger most definitely adds to the fun of driving but without it, the car still is a ton of enjoyment to drive! If you need to remove it...don't worry, you still will have an amazing car! I removed mine to install a TPC turbo and when that fell through i was left with a NA car. It is a Porsche and it will still be one of the quickest cars on track....
Just my $.02....

If I decide to sell I definitely will. I read through a few of his posts about not having the extra power but he had some where around 530whp if I remember correctly, which is around 100 more whp then I currently have.

Thanks! Never worried about being one of the quickest cars on track. There will always be cars slower and quicker than me, just more or less about the driving experience. For me, DE's were never about "racing"

I was 442 at the wheels, and around 510-530 at the crank.
That was with the other mods, including a more open exhaust (mufflers and cats).

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. What's on the car now?
