Not a dash mount, but works for me...
It is a flexible stalk that mounts to the passenger seat bolt.

i've considered ProClip but couldn't justify the cost to myself.

tried out the MounTek holder ($25) and pretty happy with it.

Since i have a Dension, i never listen to CD anyways.

it does block a small portion of the PCM screen, but i can live with it since i use my iphone for nav these days.

That one is rather interesting. If my damn phone interfaced with the stereo that would be the ticket. Unfortunately I need the silly CD slot.

 

This works great for me. Using the cup holder puts the phone at a nice viewing position. The base expands into the cup holder to hold it firmly. These photos show my iPhone 4, but my iPhone 5 fits perfectly too. I can't remember the brand off hand, but it costs around $20 and is well made. The goose neck and swivel allows positioning the phone at the perfect angle to see easily. And of course, when not needed, it can be put away or used in another vehicle.

 

That looks interesting and a good spot as it doesn't block the a/c vents. Has it ever fallen out? I want to mount my phone somewhere so I can use the new app for the valentine 1.

 

How difficult was this to install?

 

it fits securely in the CD slot and u can adjust how firmly its held in place. It has never fallen and u can swivel 90/180 degree easily.

it does block the PCM screen partially on the top.. but its minimal.

there is two buttons on the side to release the phone.. but i just slide mine (iphone5- no case) in & out from the top without using the buttons.. and it holds securely.


for my non-911, i use this white one from Koomus (amazon $20) - very cool and easy to attach with glue-like stickiness. However, i couldn't find a good spot on 997 to use this one without sticking it on my leather dash (a big no-no)
