Quote: I am not aware of any extended warranty policy that would cover pothole damage to a wheel. That seems to me to be insurance claim and not a warranty claim.
No. The top EasyCare policy specifically covers wheel damage (or is supposed to). It is common for this coverage.

I went with carchex. 2007 C2S cab with 26500 miles on the clock full bumper to bumper 3 year 15k a year was 3500. Was quoted a little higher but when I phoned him up he was able to knock 150 off the price. This is there platinum level they do a gold that covers engine and drive stuff which was 3200.

I don't have car yet so can't tell you if they are good or not. For the original 2005 C2s with 35 k on the clock I was looking at price was 4200. The dealer wanted nearly 5 for the 2007 to put the quote into comparison.

When I bought car Rusnak, I strongly believe they talked about "wheel" insurance. I'm not sure if that was separate from the extended warranty.

I forgot to mention the main reason I bought the warranty was for potential IMS issues. I think the car is and has been driven enough to avoid this. It also has a good WAF benefit. She would have been pissed if my first 911 had $3k of broken **** in the first year of ownership.

How is Fidelity? I am considering them. Has anyone made a claim to cover the tire pressure sensors? I looked at their policy and it does not list this item in either the included nor in their exclusion list for the Platinum level. Batteries are listed as not covered, so would this fall in this category since the sensors are battery powered?

Just happened to be on their website and decided to do an online quote. I was quoted $3,726 for 3 years or 36,000 miles for their Platinum Protection plan, $100 deductible. You have 18 months to pay interest free. Price seems reasonable as they covered IMS and RMS, two of the major problems that plague the 997.1.

"The Platinum plan is as close as you can get to bumper to bumper and is going to cover components from all your major systems for you including your engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, electrical, steering, air conditioning, suspension, brakes, high tech electronics, cooling system, fuel delivery and seals and gaskets!"

Costco vs Fidelity
2007S with 24 K miles, Costco $4176, Fidelity (Porsche dealer) $3715 for addl 6yr/60K with $250 deductible. Costco auto says both insurers are "sister companies" and looking at the contracts they are almost identical. I have attached the two contracts if anyone wants to check out the guts.
