same here ...got mine from SuncoastParts... that old Schumacher just wasn't cuttin it anymore

I have the same (non-porsche) charger and that's the way to go. Super easy.

Please help me understand what the fuss is with connecting to the battery. I have the CTEK and it came with a pigtail battery adaptor. It also comes with a cig lighter adaptor but my AC outlet is closer to the front of the car, hence it's more convenient to connect to the battery. What am I missing? Attached a couple of pictures of my setup.
