Battery tender question

I've done a search and not found what I am looking for.

I have a battery tender and know I have to connect the black to a ground but where is the best spot on a 2006 C2S?

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and Buy the cigarette lighter adapter and plug it in there. Easy and works great. Been using it on my 2008 C4s all winter.

Are you using an alligator type connection?

If you don't feel like digging around to find good charging points it seems that the Porsche (CTEK) charger is the best solution.

The actual CTEK branded one is about half the price of the Porsche OEM one.

The directions I have for mine (Schumacher SE1-12S) say to put the red/ pos on the positive battery terminal and the black/ neg to a ground, not to the negative terminal. That is what I've done in the past on different cars and it worked great. If I can just go to the negative battery terminal that would be easier.

Which battery adaptor do you use for your CTEK?

The manuals say not to use any adaptors.

+1 CTEK.

Mine came with 3 different adaptors. 1) cigarette lighter, 2) alligator clip, 3) pig tail connector to the battery terminal. I use option 3 as it is much shorter reach to the AC outlet and it works great! I understand CTEK is the original manufacturer for the Porsche product and it sells for half the price. They look identical except for the Porsche label.

any exposed steel on the car will do. That's a direct answer to your direct question.

Now, I second, third, and fourth the posts that suggest using the CTEK and using the lighter adapter.
