Has anyone used AWE Tuning S-FLO Filter ?
I toke a ride in my friends GT3 the car is a machine. the power the torque the ceramic breaks that stop on the dime the whole gt package is amazing. Enjoy it north van!! Ill be there one day hopfully
To add some clarification to this thread, The AWE Tuning S-FLO filters do make power in the 997. This is a graph taken straight off of our dyno after testing a Carrera GTS with the S-FLO filter installed-

I think that these gains are pretty solid for such a quick and inexpensive mod. By no means will adding filters completely transform the cars habits, but as I think we can all agree- every little bit counts when trying to get the most out of your car.

Hi , the AWE filters were the 2nd part of my tune up after fitting a Sharkwerks bypass pipe. I had been disappointed after an OEM service to see the air filters hadn't been changed and looked dirty 17K miles . I was unimpressed when Porsche said they don't change until 60K miles. I was convinced the car wasn't breathing as good as it could ( and I was right , sorry Porsche you've got this wrong , these filters OEM paper filters need changing at intervals e.g. 15k max, otherwise you are missing out. The AWE filters apparently have a much larger increase in airflow area ca. 25-30%. I decided to go for it and bought them from Regal Autosports in Southhampton UK. It was an easy fit. Immediately I started the car up I knew it was better, I took it out on first run and the induction noise was clearly different and far better ( Kind of quiet roary sound as opposed to zippy farty sound under acceleration . It amazed me then when I also realised the huge performance benefit on mpg, the car went from 18-19 mpg in town driving to 22 mpg , this was clearly evident in the first run. I have never looked back , thank you AWE for developing those filters for 911, they are superb. I fully recommend them to fellow 911 Carrera gen 2 owners.
Cheers , hope this is of help if your thinking of fitting them, well worth the investment
