Are there any dealer friends that can lend a helping hand?

Hey guys, so I am looking at a used 997 that's half way across the country. Is there anyone here that maybe works at Porsche that can pull some history on the car with the VIN? I don't know my local dealer, but I figured someone here might be able to help out.

I'm trying to find out the service history and, most importantly, the "In-Service Date" to figure out how much warranty is left. And really any other into that Porsche tracks, whatever that may be or someone can access.

Please email or PM and I can forward the VIN. Don't really want to post it.

Thank you!!!

You can find some of that info using Carfax.

Just have to pay for it.

When I bought my pre-owned 911 last year I called my local porsche dealer for maintenance/service records on the car. They were only able to provide me with any work that had been done at their shop.
The carfax report did provide me with all info including when the tires had been done etc.

Dealers can only pull work that has been done at their shop. So you would have to know what dealer serviced the car and then call them.
