To each his own, but I'm not a fan of this design.

The black fabric over the targa roof bar and over the rear window is camouflage. The silver triangle is also camouflage. I won't be surprised if the entire rear portion is glass and the roof bar is aluminum or stainless steel.

the targa top appears to be heavily camouflaged (to look like the cabriolet).. i would wait for the final pics before deciding yay or nay.
That is camo for sure...If you google 2014 Targa you'll find reperters saying it's a coverup to guard against spy photos.
I read that the new Targa will have the look of the original Targas, and not the sliding glass roof like the 997 and 996, etc.

These photos don't tell us much due to the heavy camouflage. The devil is always in the details, and there are too many hidden details in these photos. I have to believe the new Targa might look similar to this aftermarket kit that was circulated a while back:

This was a conversion for cabs, but perhaps the same principle will be applied to the new Targa. I thought it looked great, but too expensive at about $14k in the US.

I'll reserve my judgement until we see how the roof opens. If that roof slides under the targa bar electrically, it might be cool. If it has manually stowable roof panels its a fail in my book.
Very rational statement. I like the 991, but with this I would reserve judgment
