So I was just looking through all the manual and everything that came with my 07 c4s and noticed it said there's a increased performance version, translating into an extra 26hp. Does anyone know how I could figure out if I am so lucky as to have the increased performance version haha??? Im sure I dont but its worth looking into haha

 

X51 package? Idk i could be wrong

 

Option code is X51 - so if you can find your option code list, if you have the option it will be listed. If you can't find the list, ask your dealer to run your options based on your VIN. Porsche used to stick the option list on the underside of the front hood but with the 997's the list came loose and good dealers would fix it to the hood, others would stick in the one of the manuals (warranty or maintenance) and then others just left it loose to be lost. Usually cars with X51 command a premium so I would be surprised if you had the option and the seller didn't make a big deal of telling you about it.

 

The main visual indicators are having sport exhaust, dual intake air box (carbon fiber) and nicer exhaust headers. I'd be surprised if you have it, as they weren't very common, costing an extra $18k for 26 hp!

 

Yep - forgot about the very distinctive air box. Much easier to find that than the option sticker.

 

Right on cool thanks guys. Was just curious....an ya for an extra 18k just not worth it! I have my options list and no where on there is an x51 haha
