Ipod hook up
Ipod hook up
Okay so I am having troubles using my ipod. I bought my car over a year ago and have become a big fan to this forum! This is going to sound crazy but all this time I never knew I had a hook up for my ipod in the glove box. Its not the head phone cord but the one you'd use to charge the ipod. When I turn my cd to cd changer the ipod turns on. However It only wants to play the alphabet playlist, and only wants to play the letter "A". It also does not let me control songs or anything through the ipod itself. One time I got it to let me control it through the ipod but then the very next time and everytime after it wont. It just wants to play the same song over and over. Anyone encounter anything like this before?
Sounds like you have a NavTV module installed. Mine does the same thing. If you go to their web site you can download the manual and go into the settings menu to make the unit play manual and then you can control with the iPod.
You have to have an adapter plugged in to make it charge the iPod, but it only charges when the car is turned on. Put your iPod in shuffle BEFORE you plug it in and you can then listen to the rest. By default the PCM will play alphabetically which really sucks...but then again the PCM isn't really user friendly.
PM me if you need additional assistance.
