New life for old Lobsters
New life for old Lobsters
Been considering an upgrade to my wheels, but after pricing options decided to go with a repaint of my Lobster forks. The OEM wheels really are a good wheel, I was just was tired of the look. Considered doing the black thing, but was feeling that it's been pretty much played out. When every racer boy in a GTI and Civic has that look it's time to move on (IMHO).
Went with a color match to my Seal Gray, leaving the outer lip silver. I'm really happy with the results -- pictures don't really do it justice. Fresh look, makes the old Lobsters feel way more contemporary. Not sure it would work as well with any other color car, but for the Seal Gray it works.

Lookin' good......would look even better if your crest caps were "pointed" at the valve stem!
I'm an old PCA Concours judge and would always ding a tenth of a point for "non-aligned" crests!

Who knew? That's easy to fix, I'll get right on it!

nice job on the lobsters. i know how you feel about the lobsters - i have an arctic car and the lobsters create zero contrast, even though i like the design. i remedied the situation with a set of HREs - black centers and polished lips.
