I am having the sport mode software and paddle shifting steering wheel installed on my 997 C2 and was wondering if the crono function on the PCM will be enabled?

 

No, the Chrono in PCM is not enabled. But it isnt a big deal, you will be amazed at how your car has become a totally different beast with Sport/+ installed and the paddle wheel.

 

What is the difference between Sport Mode and the Softronic ECU upgrade? I do not have Sport Mode on my 997.2 C2 and am wondering if I should see about getting it installed by the dealer. How much is your dealer quoting you for the Sport Mode upgrade? Thank you.

 

Should cost you about $1200-$1400 installed at a Porsche dealer. If you are a PCA member you should be getting a 10-15% discount on parts and labor. It only takes about one hour to install and upgrade PCM software.
