Getting a ton of search results on Coupes but not much at all for Cabs. Being that the acoustics of a cab are very different especially with the top down, im concerned about going too aggressive on sound volume with some of these muffler options out there. Looking for any feedback good or bad on experiences with swapping out stock exhaust for aftermarket. Thanks
I've had a Borla, OEM Porsche sport exhaust, and now the gundo hack/x-pipe on my 3 Porsches. The Borla sounded great (not avail on the .2) but droned on highway. PSE was quite nice on my last 997 but I'd say the gundo on my 997.2 sounds more open (sometimes fart pipe annoying at some revs) but I am really enjoying the difference. It really turns heads now.
I did research on any dyno testing after Gundo mod and found nothing. I was worried about dropping back pressure and perf but after driving it for a week, I'm happy. No noticable drop. In fact, it feels faster... Prob just the sound making it feel that way. $50 each side vs the $2000 on a full catback! My only experience with the cabriolet was on my 997 with PSE. I used PSE button everywhere and never was annoyed by the sound.
