997.2 On 18" Wheels - Post yours

I'm seriously considering a 997.2 C2S. While a lot of the cars in the 20" threads look neat, I happen to roll in the other direction with wheels...the smaller/lighter, the better. Is there anyone out there who shares this philosophy and has equipped their cars accordingly? All 18s are most welcome, and by all means 17s too, if they'll fit...

So...it appears that I'm the 18" "Lone Ranger", then...

I have 18's. 265/18 with 15mm spacers to flush the rim with the fenders.

You'll probably see more on the GT3 sub-forum. The guys who track tend to go down in diameter.

yep, i wish my OEM's were 18" - when i bought my black OZ's (also 19") for the street, i relegated the lobsters to track duty.

+1, personally I think 18"s look too small, just look at the picture above. 19"s is perfect. You'll see a lot of 18"s used on the track for obvious reasons. It's cheaper to replace, tires are cheaper, wheels are usually lighter.

Actually, the 18's look great on the GT3R and RSR.

I'm looking at the picture below and thinking "I sure hope those wheels will fit on a 997.2 C2S, because they look better and make more sense than 19s do". Your reasons for 18s on the track are my reasons for 18s all the time...

That is just sweet. How about a close-up of the front wheel? I'm curious as to whether or not a 17" will clear the front caliper...

Come on, all you 18ers...show us your cars!

Nice of you to offer, but I have a bike and a car that I want to sell before taking the plunge on a 997.2 C2S. I'm just gathering information right now...
