Updating Nav on PCM 3.0
She is garaged for the night but I'll snap some pictures tomorrow.
As requested, pics of the updated PCM 3.0 to v2.23:

There are additional pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/8170590...7633478640665/ which show various modes and options.

The Porsche Nav works just great, and its integration into the instrument cluster makes following the turn directions way easier than having to glance over at a smart phone, plus there is no data plan usage.
Address input isn't the best, but on a smart phone you also still have to type stuff in on a soft keyboard so I'm not sure what makes the smartphone entry so much easier.
Waze is good for traffic density info based on other Waze users, but its no greater at data entry for your destination, and you are still stuck with the small screen and glancing over at seeing a bunch of stuff that is distracting from the navigation process.
A map update, would get you new map data (for recently built or changed roads and the newest POI database).
Not sure what interface changes come with the latest. Can someone report if anything about the interface changes at all or is it just a backend data update?
What I've noticed so far...
I didn't notice all those (clickable) POI icons before the update.
The "birdseye" mode was called "3d mode" on the 1.0 version.
I can successfully hand off a call from iPhone to the car now without going mute!
