ECS Tuning - I ordered the shift **** but it was not new! It was used, beat-up and looked worse then my current shift ****. I'll send it back today. Do you sell NEW parts? I would like to order a new part. Thanks.

Sorry about that, it's a brand new part as we don't sell any used parts. That's the way it arrived from Porsche, but after looking at the photos, it should not have been sent out like that and I apologize that it was. We will happily exchange it and get you another one on it's way ASAP.

Mine came out real easy after turning the ring (quarter turn) under the ****. I've attached a photo showing the ring while it's attached and a couple of photos showing the inside of the ring, to illustrate how it unlocks and locks the ****. It shows how the ring is slotted to the shifter shaft.

How do you like the 997 SSK? I tried the B&M last time on my 996 and I hated it. It was notchy and not very smooth shifting for my taste.

There is no need to pull the shifter off!
Unlock the ring, then lock vice grips just under the ring, leaving enough room for a 1/2 wide flat screwdriver. place the screwdriver between the ring and the grips, twist the screwdriver slowly and it will pop right off.
