Porsche 997 Russell Speed Bleeders

Pulled my calipers off for powder coating. I'm replacing all eight bleeder screws at the same time. I did a lot of Internet searching for the right part number for speed bleeders without any luck. A speed bleeder is a bleeder screw with a one way valve built in to make brake fluid flushing a one man job.

For future reference, 997 C2S caliper bleeder screws use 10mm x 1.0 thread, 30mm overall length. The Russell Speed Bleeder part #639630 matches at 33mm overall length.

DO NOT USE THESE for any track events. My next door neighbor thought these would be a great idea and I warned him but he did it anyway and 2 burst and brake fluid everywhere and ruined his track day. I've seen this happen other times at the track before.

Well that's disappointing to hear. I'd thought as long as the bleeder screw is tightened to torque spec there would be no issue with leaks at the track. I'm not going to chance it then. These are going back to the seller.

Rep points for you.

Get a Motive Power Bleeder and you can bleed and flush your brakes by yourself.

I also tried/gave up on those speed bleeders a while back. Mine constantly leaked...

Just bought one of these, will try it for my next bleed.
