new battery time

MY 09 was starting fine but I noticed that when on the trickle charger it would not complete the cycle on the charge. Being an 09 and driven only 12K miles and it was the original battery, I decided to just change it BEFORE it will not start. I was going to document it as a DIY post(with pic) but thought it was maybe too simple to do that.

Walmart Maxx H7 battery ($130). It comes vented on both sides and comes with a plug to plug up the unused side. Other side fits the existing vent tube fitting. It s a sealed battery, so no more water level checking.
The tools needed are a 10mm box wrench for the terminals and a 1/2 inch socket with extension for the battery hold down plate on the passengers side of the battery at the bottom. 15 mins max....

Side notes. The car is a CPO but battery would not be covered per the dealer. No problem.
Dealer also stated most go dead 4-5 years, so I m right on schedule.

tiyyara is infamous around these parts
Same thing here, 09, needed new battery last October.
Got it at dealer and installed it myself in 10 minutes (long story although I knew that the Walmart Battery is about 140), about double the price.
Will keep comparing notes and see who made the better choice ( I am sure you as I doubt my battery will last 2x as much as you)

Strongly recommend having the new battery tested before you leave the store.
They'll do it free, but you have find someone...ask...wait for them to figure it out....
I guess it applies anywhere, but especially WallyMart.
Sometimes these things can sit on the shelf for months, and you have no clue as to where they sat in transit to the store, at what temp etc etc etc.
WM will usually give you the print out from their testing apparatus.
Somebody else recommended standing in the frunk to do the final 'lift-out/into-place' with the heavy battery. Made sense to me.

Went with national retail chain battery so I can get a replacement pretty much anytime and anywhere.
Your not pigeon holed to specialty hours and locations.
