Interior door handle on 2006 997S spring broke
Not sure if its a spring but whatever holds the handle in place when it's closed either broke or snapped off its housing...
Any ideas if this is easily fixable by me or do I need to rip off the door panel?
It still works but when door is closed the handle dangles a little bit like its open.
Attached is a pic of what is loose.
Thanks for any ideas/input!

Yes you can replace it yourself, but the door panel needs to come off. Once the panel is off you can see the broken piece.
It's likely #10 in the diagram, "axle bearing" part no 997.555.381.02. Dig around for a door panel removal DIY here or on rennlist. I also recommend getting a few #3 "fixing clip for mount door trim panel" as these break easily during the door panel removal. Total parts cost should be less than $20.

Bro you have to take the panel off, mine was broken a year ago, when I took off both side panel, I found it is switchable, I just switch left to right and upside down, if it's the case...
Good luck!
