What did you pick?
I was looking at brake caliper covers on eBay and found these:

My car has covers that say Porsche which I think I prefer but they are dull and something new and shiny would be great. For some reason, looking at the brake calipers on the car don't look the same and I'm unsure if the covers in the link above would even fit.

The covers are not the ideal solution for many reasons.
If you are a DIY guy do a search here and there are many good threads on painting the calipers for less than $50 in supplies. I'm not, so I'll have to fork the $800 or so to do this professionally.
In the end I came back to red with white letters, as much as I wanted to be unique, I didn't want my car to look like some modded toy from the fast and furious movies going with uncommon color schemes for Porsche.

My dilemma is that I want to repaint my calipers that are worn, and I am not trying to make my C2 car be what it's not (PCCB, "S"/ "turbo", etc)..but after visiting several non-Porsche colors (orange, paint to sample blue like my exterior), they all look very generic and "too-much".
So I settled on "red"
Thanks for stopping by "C.C." your opinions are one of the ones I most value
My car is Aqua Blue Metallic with black interior (here's the photoshop rendition of it with the RG5's I'm putting on along with lambo-orange calipers I first thought off, but that color is scratched now- looks off)

Maximum heat emission dictates stripping them to bare and then applying a thin coat of flat black. If cosmetics are more important, well...the sky is the limit. Go nuts with whatever looks good to you...
I'm biased toward macadamia (metallic brown) with natural brown leather interior, but I also like white with black sport seats with red stitching and red seat belts. I have some friends here who have that combination and it's just beautiful. PLUS, if you live in an area that gets hot in the summer, white will help you stay cool.
I believe macadamia was a special order color available only in the '08 MY, but Porsche has brought back a lighter version for the '13 MY 991.
