I agree RaidersR1,I just ordered mine in Carrera S all red! Jerry was great to talk with for about 15 minutes, he being in Chicago and myself on the west coast by the beach!Will be nice to get them! Will post after I install them.Can't wait!

Just ordered mine. Jerry = super nice guy. He didnt have turbo sills, so i paid to have the graphic done. So now you turbo owners can use my template. I went with :"911 turbo" in porsche script.
Was going to do a ruf, but figured that since its a 550 kit rather than a real ruf car, didnt want to feel like a poser.
And i figured that if i went with 911 turbo- more of my fellow 6speeders could get in on the sills wo the graphic charge.
$250 - not bad. Prolly $200 for future owneers getting in on his group buy. He said to mention this to my friends , which i am doing ! Haha.

Moderators- anyway to duplicate this thread on the turbo forums, so those guys can see this as well? Thanks again.

 

On a related note, when i pull the door handle on the evoque, a puddle light shines on the ground . The light actually has a sillouette of the actual car imbedded into the lighted area. Pretty nifty, and if anybody knows if one can retrofit this into our 911's , that would be great. Ill ask jerry about this too.

 

Found a product from mrkustom that might work, i will post results.

 

My order just got in. I would have installed today, but car is at Custom Alignment getting some special finessing.

Seems like powering is the biggest concern. Its not an issue.


There are 3 wires going into your under dash lights... 2 are brown and white, one is blue and brown.


The blue and brown is the positive (+)
The 2 white and brown are the negatives (-)


Even if you get it wrong - the LED's are not polarity sensitive so if it doesn't work - swap the wires.


Running the wire under the weatherstripping is the hardest part and it's unimaginable how simple it is.


I chose to complicate my install because I hate the tie in connectors that came with the kit and chose to solder and shrink wrap the connections instead. I'm pretty good with soldering at the micro-electronic level - so take that for what it is.


Super easy job.




EDIT: Passenger side under dash light only has 2 wires - not the 3 on the drivers side. Blue and brown is still positive - brown and white negative.
