what is required to do the GT3 front bumper? just straight swap, or is duct work required like doing a GT2 front on the 996 cars?

Pretty much a straight swap. I bought the bumper used, and it came with the black plastic frames around the radiator openings. I just added the Rennline grills.
All the stock ducting matched up with the bumper, no problem.

^ as i've mentioned in the other thread..

ROTTEC/aftermarket LED for 997.1 is BOGUS!

i would much rather leave the stock turn signals.
it looks elegant on the 997.1 GT3 front as the bumper itself is as aggressive as it needs to be.

leave the OEM turn signals Dave, i would be shopping for GT2 sideskirts next!

gt3.1 front+gt2 skirts on a wb = nicely flowing car.

Where could we pick up a set of GT2 skirts? Are they expensive? Would it flow good with a gt3 front and rear bumper? Im not feeling the big skirts they just look weird to me. The gt2 skirts just look so plain and simple.

Yeah, I agree on the turn signals. No plan to add LED's here.

I do plan on adding the GT2 side skirts though. Suncoast has them for around $800. I haven't priced them anywhere else yet.
