VF Supercharger Maintenance Checklist
VF Supercharger Maintenance Checklist
Anyone have a list of recommended service items and intervals? Mine is a V2 version for the 3.6L, installed by the PO.
Car is going in for oil change service on Friday AM, and I want to get as much taken care of as possible. I can already see the air filter needs cleaning/replacement. Looks like a PITA to get it out, tho.
FWIW, the car ('06 Carrera 4 Cab w/ 16K miles) runs great right now. Very smooth and linear power delivery. Want to keep it that way!

Did you buy the Kit from VF? The manual from the kit should have the maintenace guidelines. If you bought the car used with the kit already installed, then hold on, as I may still have the guidelines filed somewhere, despite me having the V3 version. Will post later when I get home.
Also, I find calling VF will get you quicker result than emailing.

Thanks, 808! It was on the car already.
Just recd the following from VF:
· On the V2 supercharger the oil feed nozzle has an integrated filter. The nozzle should be removed and cleaned with parts cleaner and compressed air every oil change.
· Inlet duct can accumulate crankcase oil residue. Inspect every oil change and clean as needed.
· Air filter can be visually inspected and replaced or cleaned as per K and N’s instructions.
· Belt idlers and tensioners are OEM parts.
· Belt should be inspected for wear and replaced as needed.
Thanks, VF!

That's pretty much the same maintenance info that I have in the VF manual.

The VF Kit is a nice kit. Power is smooth and linear all the way to redline. Keeps pulling. Kit + Installation is pretty close to $10K.
