First Porsche, first 997, woohoo!
i love it.
reminds me of when i had to haul my dads 1990 chevy astro around in my early 20s (by then the car was a 12 year old 2-tone rustbucket). b4 that it was my mothers pontiac grand am special edition (they didn't answer my prayers and dismissed the GT model)

A few other things about it: when I called the dealership about it, they'd only had it in stock for a day and hadn't even finished the CPO checklist. They did the IMS, RMS, replaced all four tires, and did the 4 year service, so in conjunction with the CPO warranty I've got to say I'm feeling pretty good about this girl.
(I've nicknamed her Karen, after my all-time favorite crazy German supermodel, Karen Mulder... Drop dead gorgeous and kinda nuts, just like a good Porsche.)

So, after years of yearning for a Porsche, tons of research, let me rephrase that: TONS of research, years of browsing this forum, well, I did it. I pulled the trigger today on a new (to me) Porsche.
She's a 2008 997.1 Carrera S, silver, grey interior, manual, 31K miles, Porsche CPO, and I LOVE her.

Sorry they're just crappy cell phone pics, I'll post better pics as soon as I can. I look forward to becoming a more active participant here on the forum!
