Sun Visor installation torques (Cab)...anyone?

Hi guys.

Anyone have the torques for those two hex screws that hold the sun visor bracket...on a CABRIOLET? Installing a new sun visor and wanna make sure it's all right since the convertible top latches at that point and it's likely under stress/tension.

Big thanks!

don't know specifically but it's not much... i.e. just hand tight.

You absolutely DO NOT want to over tighten b/c the screw is steel but retaining nut on back side is cast... and can split easily. If that happens you either have to drill them out and replace w/ a pem-sert/nutsert or have windshield removed to reach cavity on back side to replace. Possibly could j-b weld the holes and tap too.

In any event, here's a write up I did more than a few years ago on how to R&R... (yes, I've BTDT) so tighten cautiously:

How to R&R Broken Retainer Nuts In Windshield Header

Good luck
