My porsche dealer is offering a 3 year/36000 mile warranty the "Ultimate" package for $3900. Plus a $200 deductible per visits/incident. My car is a 2007 C4S, with 41,000 miles on it.

Does anyone have any experience with this warranty company? Is it worth it?

Cut that price in half and drop the deductible to $25.

 

I payed $3000 for a 2 year warranty (30k miles I think) w/ no deductible. It was $300 more than having a $100 deductible. It's been a little over a year and I've only used it once for something that cost $300. I may not get my money's worth out of it, but it is good for peace of mind since and engine replacement is >$20k (not sure if they would come up with a reason not to cover it if needed though). If I was you I would definately try and get rid of the deductible at least. There are a lot of small things that could go wrong and with a $200 deductible it may not be worth it.

 

Just today I purchased a 4 year/50,000 mile* extended warranty with a $200 deductable for $2400 through my Porsche dealership. It was with a warranty company that the dealership has worked with for the past several years and they were very satisfied with the company's service response and coverage on our cars.

* Total odometer miles. I currently have 17.5K miles on the clock. So, another 32,500 miles of coverage.
