Since acquiring my 911, I've been searching to see how many 997C2 vs 997CS vs 997C4 and so on..... have been built.

I became curious as I've been reading through many forum threads and saw people arguing about weather or not a 911 is consider an exotic. I thought it would be due to lower production numbers and a rare design.

however, without knowing how many are built per year vs how many mustangs or other sports cars are made, I don't feel like I can draw much of a conclusion.

Anyone have any info on production amounts - especially for 997 911S in 05?

Interesting info - thanks. Not sure I'd characterize 1 out of 12,000+ as an "exotic" though.

 

I wish I could know what the percentage is per variation of 911. I think its about 12 different versions of 911 for those years right?

2008 and 2009 are exotic..
very low sales due to economie

 

5,735 911s (all variants) sold in 2010. 6,461 Ferraris (all models) sold in 2010.
