Help on Front Bumper LED

So I received my front bumper LED lights for my '08 997 C4. The fog light and turning lights were plugged seamlessly but the DTR plug doesn't fit. There seems to be a piece in the socket attached to the car that won't let me plug into the light housing.

I have also attached photo on said plug.

Has anyone run into a similar situation when they were installing these lights?

If you have, did you just return the lights or did you do some sort of hack?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cool connectoins

You will need to use your plug from you oem lights on that one in the picture and the one with the yellow bulb. remove the bulb put use the seat and they should connect. The third one with the harness will connect right up although not as good as the oem but will hold. cheers they look good too.

When I did mine, I scotch-locked the wires from the DRLs onto the OEM wires so I didn't have to cut the plugs off either the OEM lights or the car wiring. If I wanted to reverse the mod, I'd just undo the scotch-lock and tape over or seal the tiny area of the car wiring where it had been connected. Been running them this way for 18 months - no problems. By not cutting the plugs on the OEM lights, I was able to sell them on the Forums to help defray the cost of the LED upgrade.

I did that mod on my car, on the original lamp remove the socket then remove the bulb and that connects into the led connector and then back into the new lamp.
