Red gauge face mod
Been wanting to so this mod for a while. I think it will go well with the existing red belts. Suncoast has it listed for $755 (ouch!), made by FVD. Seems a little steep for just faceplates but it sure pops. Want to do the chrono dial (~$330) too but I think that particular piece is just paper with adhesive backing. Not sure if the numbers illuminate when on. Can someone chime in to verify? I will bypass this if its paper. Does anyone know of any discount codes? Can recommend another quality brand? or have a set that they want to sell?
Need it to fit 997.2 C2 PDK

Although, I was able to find some oem cluster but too bad it wasn't the right color and no PDK.
They are frequently used by Porschephiles. They even do "upgrades".
Now the question is, are their prices about the same as buying the kit? If their the same, I would just have them do it since you would be skipping the labor and possible breakage.
slick911,
They are die cut plastic (same as OEM) and are in fact manufactured in Germany by the same printer as the OEM faces . They have the same scripting, shading and warning lights as the OEM faces. Here is a pic...

I know they are steep in cost but when you are doing your research on the faces that are available out there, be sure to check the scripting and shading carefully. Not all are manufactured correctly and are done extremely cheaply without the OEM details. Here are a few examples, granted they are on a 996 variant but you will get the gist..

Hope that helps.

Mine are from the factory. Chrono is white as well. Love ten with the black leather and red belts. My interior plastics are also painted red.

AZPete... do you have some pictures of your red interior??? thanks...
That looks nice. It would go real nice with the red belts which I just installed. But $750? Ouch!

Thanks for clarifying the material of the cluster face. I can certainly see the quality on your products. Looks really nice. Is the chrono face made of some paper card stock with adhesive backing?
Do currently have any ongoing specials for 6speed members?
maybe these guys? http://stores.ebay.de/aa-tuning-shop...p2047675.l2563
