997.1S Alarm is being a punk

So, my alarm is starting to randomly go in to panic mode -
a few nights ago, I was playing GTA5 (don't judge me) on my Xbox 360 and my alarm triggered twice on my 911 (about 3 minutes apart. After taking my key off my person and putting it about 10 feet away from my 360 I made an assumption that maybe some how some sort of frequency from my WIFI/Xbox made it happen because it id not happen again until last night.

However, last night, the alarm went off randomly at about 3am. My wife is a lite sleeper and jumped out of bed and was able to see the 911 almost immediately after the alarm went off from our second story Master bedroom window and, there was no one in sight that may have tried to break in. This time the keys were in a completely different spot.

Now we are concerned the car may have an issue. Any thoughts? Jokes? Any insight is welcomed. Thanks!

Mike

Alarms are always hard to diagnose -- short of ripping out the whole system.

If you are out of warranty and if I were you, i would start with resetting the system by unhooking the battery. I am not sure if we have those switches but if we do,!i would check those also.

Thanks for the input - I do have coverage on the car right now but, it seems disabling the internal sensor has taken care of business. If it acts up again I may jump to getting a new battery.
