iphones and 997's

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect an iphone 5 to PCM 3.0? I can connect an ipod c/ the old connection and it shows up on the PCM. If I plug in an Iphone 5 (it has the newer connection) with the USB I can't get the car to acknowledge it. I would rather listen to itunes on the iphone and not have to use the ipod. Also for itunes radio, Pandora, Spotify etc.

Thanx ahead of time!

There are adapters that convert the 30-pin to lightning link, but between the Y cable, that converter and the size of the iPhone5+ series, its too much to fit in the cubby and close the lid.

Another option some have used, is plug in bluetooth streaming dongle onto the Y-cable's 30 pin ipod cable. Then you keep the phone where you want, and pair it via bluetooth to the dongle. I"m told the PCM will then (as its sending data via the 30pin connecctor over bluetooth) see the iphone just fine. Only issue is you are not charging the phone in this state.. but testing may indicate you don't need to for low power bluetooth streaming, or you can plug in a power charger from the passenger footwell.

When you get the adapter, get the one with the little extension cord... that'll allow your phone to rest on the seat since it won't fit in the box. It's $40... Thank apple.
