Scratched aero kit lip

I have the OEM aero kit with the lower lip in black unpainted plastic.. Noticed it's getting pretty scratched up, and not just on the bottom. The front of it has scratches, I can only assume I hit something and it folded over.

Is there anything I can do clean up/refinish the lip? I'm surprised at how fragile it is compared to the front lip on my previous car. My last car was a Honda S2000 which also had an OEM front lip, and it was much lower than my 997. Even though it scraped far more often than the 997, it had a big flat spot on the bottom of the slip so it just sort of skid over driveways and bumps - the 997 OEM front lip is sharp at the bottom and it seems catch and get damaged much worse..

It's more than that bad, even highways give me a big hard time to drive without looking down to the surface.

I just ignore it, it's plastic, when time comes, I'll buy another to replace it.

I like this answer, and it is true.

In the interim razor blade works well.

If I lived there, I would probably not have a GT3 front end so it wouldn't be a problem.

My aero kit is lowered with Eibach springs so it is even more prone to scraping than stock height. That said, using simple caution and angles when approaching driveways results in it seldom scraping. I admittedly don't daily drive the car so it sees only pleasure type use but my lip is holding up well. Cheap replacements (~$150) can be found on ebay are are all but indistinguishable from factory.

It's my day driver and I live in a hilly area - even angling the car and taking it easy, scraping is a part of my daily commute.

Thanks for the tips, I like the idea of using a razor to shave off the "fuzzies". I don't mind just replacing the lip if it's a "once every few years" kind of thing, but it looks like a lot more frequent than that. I may try the plasti-dip idea.

Too bad the bottom of the lip isn't flat like it was on my old car. The old car scraped far worse (it was slammed to the ground), but its lip just sort of skidded over the pavement and was in better shape after 7 years than my 911's lip after ~10 months.
