X51 definitely worth more than aero kit. Aero kit is a relatively easy add, not so with the x51.

Agreed, but the value to the used car buyer is not the same delta. Some (many?) people will pay more for an aero-kit that you can see every time you walk up to the car and care less about the 'unseen' HP, etc. of the X-51.

For instance, the $17,700 X-50 package on a 996TT is only worth about $2-3K more to a used car buyer. I'll bet that is less than some will pay for a rare color - like white on a 996TT - which didn't cost a thing on the window sticker.

IMO - At the end of the day it's worth a few bucks but not as much as many would think. I'm guessing an aero-kit 997 car has more interest to a wider range of buyers. It all depends on finding the right buyer that wants and will pay for it.

find a few cars for sale and see what they are asking and start there. You are going to have to search around and do your homework so you can price it right. Remember that asking price may not be selling price.

 

Thanks for that find. If I'm near that price, I'm happy, and having the AWD is an advantage for many.

Don't forget about that factory short-shift kit either--it's truly incredible and involving!
