997 PCM Navi no gps signal

Hi, I just bought used 2006 997 with PCM Navi. I tried Navigation. Navigation start navigate, but is absolutely inaccurate and unuseable. I checked status and there is not GPS Signal (0 Satelites). Have anyone experienced same problem, broken PCM or antenna? Thanks for help

I'd start with a visual inspection of the antenna.

The antenna is under the front plastic cowl, near the battery and passenger's side windshield wiper. Check for anything unusual (bent, frayed, etc.). The other end goes to the back of the radio head unit. Dig around for radio removal instructions, they are on just about every 997 website somewhere. Again, look for anything unusual (loose connector, etc.)

Park next to a buddy with nav in his car and see if he picks up the satellites - at least that will confirm that you're not in a "dead zone" for satellite reception.

I'd go with checking the sat antenna as well as a first step.
