I think this is the one for me.
09 - midnight blue - 27k recent service - new tires - no warranty. After good PPI what's a fair price? Has everything but adaptive seats
Thanks

my two cents...options mean something only to buyers. They mean nothing relative to value. Seller might as well have a bare bones car, because that's typically what the market brings him when he sells it. As a buyer, if you're paying for a bare bones car, options are a bonus! I have learned this three times with P-cars, both on the buying and on the selling side.
thx for the replies folks -
good point Domer - i tend to agree - any thoughts on a fair price for this one? Options notwithstanding

Thanks again all. First Porsche so a bit uncertain - not wanting to walk away from a good thing (if it even is).
I'm not even positive I need a cab - but think I'd rather try it and know, than get a coupe and wonder.
I've been combing listings everywhere - over and over - and the only constant is prices are all over the place.
There is a 2011 cab S - black over tan - Chrono - CPO - clean Carfax from a reputable Porsche dealer asking $70k.
Then I see many 2009 cab S ranging from 57 to $80k. Half the cars are so overpriced I don't even want to bother - how do you offer someone 15k less than they're asking?!
Then the whole - "buy the newest car you can afford" - well...I'd "like" to be around 70k but... I could go GTS for $80k (missed that deal by a day), or squeeze out a 2011 CPO for high 60's, or an awesome 09/10 for low 60's. Lest we forget the 08 TTs out there for ~$80k...
I don't have a perfect car in mind - I know I want PDK and not green or red - and I'd like to fend off depreciation a bit - so 2012+ is out - that's about it = way too many possibilities.
Anyway - the fun is in the search - I can wait a couple months if I have to - but having just sold my car - I can't wait 2 years for the "perfect" car to show up. Maybe Jan/Feb gets more aggressive pricing? NorCal is season free...
Cheers

From my little experience shopping for a 2009 thru 2011 997.2 Coupe (PDK, Chrono, Full Leather, uograded Bose, etc.), was that mileage was the biggest price differentiator, more than year the car was manufactured. I wound up buying a 2009 because it was the color I wanted, had low mileage (11,000 miles), ridiculously clean, had Porsche warranty left, had most of the important options I wanted and it was local which made it a lot easier from a logistical standpoint.
End result - I Love driving my first P-Car and it looks great too!

Well - my offer wasn't enough. Moving on to the next candidate
2010 S Cab Blk/Blk - with 14k - remaining warranty - and full leather , adaptive sport seats, chrono plus, PSE, black gauges (my pref),etc etc. MSRP = 124k. Indy dealer this time - $73k ask - I think 68-70 is very fair here (yes?) - a bit more if needed - PPI of course. Will check it out tomorrow. Crossing my fingers on this one. Hopefully not another 1 day romance...pix only if it works out - otherwise this thread will look like Auto Trader =)

Agree completely - vast majority of them are - checked him out. Nice indoor shop - many high end cars - very straightforward - clean title and carfax - PPI tomorrow - 11 mos of warranty left. Car started
Not sure what else I can do -
