Clutch Question

Hello and thanks in advance. Does 29k miles sound right for an "S" needing a clutch, or is it a serious indication of overly hard driving? Would it be a "red flag" to walk away from a deal? The dealer is having a new one put in before selling. The previous (original) owner apparently traded for a turbo. Wondering if it's been beat. A PPI will be done if......

Again, thanks.

Yes, that is well and far too soon for a clutch.
Still, it is only a clutch and if they are replacing it no cost to you and everything else checks out incl. checking over-revs than I personally would not be bothered by this. It has been said, here, many times that there are lots of good P cars "out there" if you are not comfortable than walk away.

Thumbs down Way too soon for clutch problems

I have an 05 S with 62K and 15-20 track days per year. Still on the original clutch.

Well it depends on a lot of things. A car in SF with someone who rides the clutch will last less than a car in the midwest with mainly highway driving.
PPI will give you the answer.
I have an 09, 26k, spirited driving, occasionally hard, but in 2 years hit the limiter once (by mistake, phone rang as I was accelrating and it threw me off).
Again , if in doubt leave it. If not and they replace it at no charge, then you saved some $$$
