How old is my battery?

Hi all. I am the proud new owner of a 2005 911 with 17K miles. I am the second owner.

I've been going through the car and one thing that popped into mind was the age of the battery. At 8 years old I can't image it has the original battery, or could it?

I don't want to throw money at a non-issue, but if that battery really is 8 years old I want to replace it asap so that I am not left stranded.

Is there any type of date found on MOLL batteries. I can't find anything, other than a stamp on the NEG post 10 50

Thanks.

2009 original dead a few weeks ago. Spent $135 (installed) at Pep Boys for a Bosch that slipped right in. Highly recommend.

Thanks.

Date code is stamped on the negative terminal. In your case 50th week of 2010.

Spend the little bit of money and put a new H4 battery in.. Then you know how old it is, and that you have 4-6 years of life ahead and stop worrying about it.

Good idea...the proper size is the H7 (94R) - Interstate, Everlast, etc.
